Garage Door Spring Replacement

There are three main reasons for replacing garage door springs

These are breakage or another type of server damage, poor condition due to extensive wear and tear and replacement of the entire door hardware set. The replacement involves the removal of the old part and the installation of the new one. The first part of the job takes about three times longer to complete. Still, the whole process should not take more than an hour and a half in most cases.

The replacement garage door spring has to have the same length and inner diameter as the old one. It has to have the same wire size as well. The weight which the spring is capable of lifting must match the weight of the door. It must meet any specific requirements as well. The cycle life of the replacement spring determines how many times it can open and close the door before it breaks due to natural wear and tear.
